About Us

We built Aarambh because even the most accomplished women deserve to feel confident and in control of their money.

Our Story

It started with a simple conversation between two old friends who met as graduate students at Texas A&M in 2003.

Sathya Venkatesh, our Co-Founder & CEO, has always been a builder at heart. With a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, a Master’s in Engineering, hands-on experience building hardware at Intel, and years as a Product Manager at Amazon, she knows how to turn complex systems into intuitive, user-first products.

Yet when it came to her own finances, she faced the same frustration many high-achieving women experience.

Her close friend and co-founder—now an Associate Professor of Media Communications at a leading university in India—shared the exact same struggle.

Despite advanced degrees, successful careers, and sharp analytical minds, we both found it surprisingly difficult to track investments scattered across mutual funds, stocks, fixed deposits, and other assets. The process was confusing, time-consuming, and far more complicated than it should be.

From Frustration to Clarity

Why should something this important require a finance degree—or endless spreadsheets?

We refused to accept that lack of financial education or overly complex tools should hold back smart, hardworking people—especially women balancing careers, families, and long-term dreams. So we decided to build the tool we wished existed.

Aarambh—(आरंभ) which means “beginning” in Hindi—was born from that determination. It’s a beautifully simple mobile app that brings all your investments into one clear, easy-to-understand dashboard. No jargon. No gatekeeping.

What started as a personal solution quickly became a mission: ensuring that no one, especially women who have worked hard for their success—lets confusion or lack of financial literacy stand in the way of building wealth and planning for the future.

We’re not promising overnight riches, and we’re not replacing financial advisors.

We’re simply removing the biggest barrier: complexity.
